The Mahoning County Soil & Water Conservation District is announcing details for its annual election of supervisors.
Three candidates are running for one position on the district’s volunteer board of supervisors, the five-member body that governs the agency. They include Thomas A. Nock, Elayne Bozick and Michael Harvey.
(SWCD)The new member will be elected to a three-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2021. The member will help create and enforce policies and determine the strategic planning and goals of the district and also act as an ambassador for the district.
Voting is open to the public. Voters must be at least 18 years old and live or own land in Mahoning County.
In-person voting will occur from Oct. 21 through Nov. 3 at the district office, located at 850 Industrial Road in Youngstown. Voting takes place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
Voters may also request an absentee ballot application by contacting the district office at 330-740-7995 or as*****@ma**************.gov…. Absentee ballots, which are now available, must be submitted by close of business on Nov. 3.
