‘American Pickers’ to visit Ohio in search of collectibles | Hosts hunt for America’s most-valuable antiques and typically pursue sizable and unique collections.
“American Pickers” will return to Ohio in March to film new episodes of the cable-television series. Programs will air on the History Channel, but show dates are unconfirmed.
The documentary-style show explores the world of antique “picking.” Hosts hunt for America’s most-valuable antiques and typically pursue sizable and unique collections, then share the stories behind the featured items.
”American Pickers” is currently looking for leads. The show is looking for suggestions on “any large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the Pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through.” The program does not pick stores, flea markets, malls, auction businesses, museums or anything open to the public.
“American Pickers” is produced by New York-based Cineflix Productions. The cast includes “Jersey Jon” Szalay, Robbie Wolfe, Danielle Colby and Mike Wolfe.
“Things don’t really become more concrete for us until the very last minute when we are out picking. At this point we are just trying to let people know how to reach the show regarding their collections so we can learn more about them,” said a show representative.
People with interesting collections should send their name, phone number, location and a description of the collection (with photos) to: am*************@ci******.com or call or call 646-493-2184. The show also maintains a Facebook page: @GOTAPICK.
