You may cast your ballot in your precinct at your designated polling place between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. If you don’t know the location of your precinct polling place, contact the board of elections in your county. The deadline to register to vote in the second Ohio primary is Tuesday, July 5.

This online resource is a one-stop location for all necessary voting information. Ohio voters can check their voter-registration status, find their polling location, view a sample ballot and track their absentee ballot.

Hours: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. You can register to vote at the Mahoning County Board of Elections during business hours. The deadline to register to vote in the second Ohio primary election is Tuesday, July 5. Election Day is Tuesday, Aug. 2. Polls are open from 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

Deadlines for the Aug. 2 primary

  • Military and overseas absentee voting: Begins June 17.
  • Deadline to register to vote: July 5.
  • Early in-person voting: Begins July 6 and includes the Saturday, Sunday and Monday before Election Day.
  • Absentee voting by Mail: Begins July 6 and ends Monday, Aug. 1.
  • Election Day: Tuesday, Aug. 2. Polls are open 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
  • Absentee ballots: Deadline to request an absentee ballot: noon, Saturday, July 30. Mailed absentee ballots must be postmarked by Monday, Aug. 1. Absentee ballots may be returned by Mail or personally delivered to your County Board of Elections. If not returned by Mail, absentee ballots must be received by your Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 2.
  • Last day for boards to receive mail-in ballots that have been postmarked on or before Aug. 1: Friday, Aug. 12.
