AUSTINTOWN, March 30 – Austintown Schools Food Services Department will distribute student meals from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Mondays at Austintown Elementary School while supplies last.
Meal packages are free for students ages 1 to 18. Per USDA guidance, there will be no distribution on Monday, April 13, as that day falls in a previously scheduled spring break.
The limit is two meal packages per vehicle. The meal pickup area is located at the Austintown Elementary School back parking lot. Parents must enter the school campus at Raccoon Road near the Austintown Public Library. Other driveways on campus will be blocked to prohibit entering from different locations.
The Austintown Police Department will be present at the entrance and throughout the campus to help direct traffic. With the recent USDA flexibilities, students do not need to be present; parents may pick up the meals for their students.
