The City of Youngstown’s Department of Park and Recreation is looking for a spruce tree that would be suitable for the annual Christmas tree to be located on downtown Youngstown’s Central Square.

The city would remove the tree at no cost to the donor.

The tree will be removed by the City Forester and an experienced crew. The department will also refurbish the area where the tree is taken from shortly after removal.

In addition, if your tree is chosen, an engraved plaque will be awarded to you at the annual Christmas tree lighting to be held on Dec. 3.

If you are interested in donating a tree from your yard, preferably the front yard for easy access, contact the Park Department at 330-742-8711.
