Cockeye BBQ and Creamery owner and operator Maxwell Hoover was awarded the national designation of Grand Master Ice Cream Maker at this year’s North American Ice Cream Association’s annual convention in Fort Worth, Texas.

For the third consecutive year, Cockeye Creamery’s small-batch super-premium Deep Chocolate ice cream has won a blue ribbon. Cockeye also won this year for its Fresh Strawberry and French Vanilla Bean.

The blue ribbon is the highest awarded honor. It’s based on a strict set of guidelines by the Department of Sensory Science at Cornell University.

This year’s awards secure Cockeye Creamery’s place as one of the nation’s best boutique and artisan independent ice cream manufacturers.

To celebrate the awards and recognition, Cockeye BBQ and Creamery gave out samples of its super-premium award-winning Deep Chocolate Ice Cream in November.

Cockeye Creamery is located at 1805½ Parkman Road, N.W., Warren. The phone is 330-392-7326. A menu is available at cockeyecreamery.com….
