The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley is reopening several internal grant cycles for 2021, with applications being accepted on the foundation’s new online grant portal.
The first grant deadline is 11:59 p.m., Monday, April 19.
All available grant opportunities can be found on the “Apply for a Grant” page of CFMV’s website. Grant decisions should be made and notifications sent by the end of June.
Many of the open opportunities will accept applications in the third and fourth quarters of the year as well, though some have only one deadline.
Given the significant changes to the process and deadlines, applicants are encouraged to review all available information and to contact Community Foundation staff with questions as soon as possible.
“We are so grateful to the other local foundations and our grantees for making the collaborative COVID-19 Response and Stabilization Application work over the past year,” said Shari Harrell, president of the Community Foundation. “But we are excited to reopen these grant cycles, and combined with the new grant software, we should be able to get more dollars quickly put work in the community.”
The new online grants portal will allow applicants to save, edit and submit applications, then track the status of their proposals and file grant reports.
Applicants can also use the new “copy” feature to pull content from previous applications, saving time when submitting multiple requests. This feature and others are highlighted in the Grantseeker Tutorials and Resources section of the “Apply for a Grant” page.
