The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County continues its food-education programming in December at the Culinary Literacy Center at Main Library.

Families with children birth to 18, families who are pregnant, caregivers, or young adults 18 to 26 without children can join this free nine-week series of in-person workshops for nutrition education, physical activity, and food tastings. Learn how to prepare healthy meals within your budget and keep your family’s food safe. Receive an electric skillet, one per household, upon completion of class requirements. Classes are provided by the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), and the Ohio State University Extension office.
