In total, the governor made 83 appointments. Areas include education, health care, law enforcement, economic development, aging, criminal justice, and immigration.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s office announced 83 state appointments Friday. Areas include education, health care, law enforcement, economic development, aging, criminal justice, and immigration.

Franklin County (Columbus) had the largest number of state appointments at 26. Cuyahoga County (metro Cleveland) came in second with nine. Cincinnati was third with six (four from Cincinnati and one each from Butler and Clermont counties). Summit and Stark counties had three and two appointments, respectively. No appointments came from Mahoning, Trumbull or Columbiana counties.

Columbus State Community College Board of Trustees

  • Traci L. Martinez of Columbus (Franklin) has been appointed for a term beginning Dec. 22, 2023, and ending Aug. 31, 2029.
  • Lorina W. Wise of Reynoldsburg (Licking) has been appointed for a term beginning Dec. 22, 2023, and ending Aug. 31, 2025.

The Columbus State Community College Board of Trustees is comprised of a nine-member board appointed by the governor. Terms are six years. The community college maintains campuses in Columbus and Delaware, Ohio.

The Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council has up to 30 members appointed by the governor. Terms are three years. In accordance with the federal Developmental Disabilities Act, “at least 60 percent of the council shall be people with developmental disabilities or their families.” The council includes individuals with developmental disabilities, their parents and guardians; state agency representatives, members of nonprofit organizations and local agencies providing services. Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board
