UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Individuals who want to learn how to better manage diabetes can now register for a series of webinars offered by Penn State Extension.
“Dining with Diabetes” is a nationally accredited diabetes education program taught by extension educators across Pennsylvania. It is geared toward anyone who has type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, has a family member with type 2 diabetes, or is at risk for developing diabetes.
A new series is planned for 6-7:15 p.m., April 12, 19, 26, and May 3. A followup occurs on July 12. For more information or to register, visit here.
Each series includes four consecutive weekly webinars with a follow-up webinar three months later.
Each live webinar offers information on healthy food and physical activity choices, food demonstrations, and guidance on important numbers to know for managing diabetes. In addition to program-related booklets, participants will receive the “Dining with Diabetes” cookbook and course-related handouts.
