The Howland High School Drama Club will present “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” from March 21-24 at Howland Middle School, 8100 South St. SE, Warren 44484.

The musical will be staged 7 p.m., Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

The production will be directed by Mrs. Janel Darrin and Mrs. Lisa Howard and features a cast of Howland High School students.

“The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” is a musical adaptation of the bestselling novel by Rick Riordan. With music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki and a book by Joe Tracz, the production premiered off-Broadway in 2017 before embarking on a national tour.

The play is set in a world where Greek mythology comes to life. “The Lightning Thief” follows the journey of Percy Jackson, a 12-year-old boy who discovers that he is a demigod, the son of Poseidon.
