Kaiser to speak on ’Color in the Autumn Garden’ Oct. 5
The lecture/luncheon will occur at Idabelle Firestone’s Gathering Place & Garden, Harvey S. Firestone Recreational Park, 338 E. Park Ave., Columbiana. (Columbiana Women’s Club)

The Columbiana Women’s Club will present “Color in the Autumn Garden” with noted ornamental horticulturist Keith Kaiser on Saturday, Oct. 5. The luncheon/program occurs 12:30 p.m. at Idabelle Firestone’s Gathering Place & Garden in Columbiana.

Kaiser is executive director of the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden and serves as chief horticulturist for the Columbiana Women’s Club’s restoration and beautification efforts at Firestone. He is former horticulture director of Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek MetroParks.

Kaiser has a bachelor’s degree in ornamental horticulture from The Ohio State University and an associate’s degree in nursery management from OSU’s Agricultural Technical Institute.

Admission is $25 for the luncheon/program or $15 for the program only. Guests must include the number of tickets/attendees and their program option when sending payment. Make checks payable to Columbiana Women’s Club, 121 N. Main St., Columbiana, Ohio 44408. To reserve, call 330-207-1470.

The Gathering Place & Garden is located at Harvey S. Firestone Recreational Park, 338 E. Park Ave., Columbiana. The presentation occurs at the pavilion across from Firestone Pool. Visitors should park in the parking lot adjacent to the pool. Shuttle service will be provided to the venue.
