In response to recent public health advisories, the Youngstown Area Grocers Association has rescheduled its 15th annual Beer and Wine Tasting. The annual fundraiser has been rescheduled to 6-9 p.m., Saturday, May 29 at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown.

Tickets and sponsorships will be honored. Organizers are currently adjusting details with vendors and suppliers to ensure that nothing will effect the nature of the event.

In a prepared statement, representatives explained: “As recommendations continue to be made by state officials, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and with a primary concern for the health and well-being of the Youngstown community, the Grocers Association’s 15th Annual Beer & Wine Tasting … will be rescheduled. We believe postponing this event until a later date (beyond the 30 days recommended for outbreak control) will provide enough precaution to allow a safer venue and overall experience.”

Information on the event

  • Proceeds benefit the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown HIV/Aids Ministry.
  • Attendees will be able to sample over 100 wines and 50 microbrews and gourmet food. The event includes cash raffles and chance and silent auctions.
  • Tickets are $60 per person, with full table (for eight) reservations available. Ticket sales, registration and sponsorships are available online at Youngstown Area Grocers Association and Ohio Grocers Association.
