March 4: Lit Youngstown to present poet, short-story writer

Lit Youngstown will host short-story writer Kayla Jeswald and poet Cliff Richeal 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 4 at the Soap Gallery, 117 S. Champion St., Youngstown.

The event, part of Lit Youngstown’s First Wednesday Readers Series, is free and open to the public. The readings will be followed by an open mic hosted by Kelsey Myers.

Jeswald was born and raised in Youngstown. She received her master’s in creative writing from YSU in 2017. Her work has been included in The Jenny Mag and she also appeared in the Z Publishing House Emerging Poets in Ohio anthology. Her first collection of short stories, “Stages of Blue,” was published in February. She is currently working on her second book, a collection of flash fiction.

Richeal is a poet, writer, and author of “How Air Balloons Work” and “Where the River Keeps No Gods.” He is a business operations IT professional and lives in northeastern Ohio with his libertarian cat, Brahmz.
