The Cleveland Restoration Society and the American Institute of Architects Cleveland
are announcing the 2017 Celebration of Preservation. It occurs from 5:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 25 at the Ohio Theatre in Playhouse Square.

Tickets are $20 for Cleveland Restoration Society and AIA members and $30 for non-members.

This annual event focuses on preservation in Northeast Ohio and tells the stories behind some of the region’s most outstanding projects. In addition, an awards program will showcase historic buildings that found new life as housing, restaurants, retail and businesses. Awarded projects are selected by a jury of architectural preservation experts.

A reception will take place after the program in the restored Ohio Theatre lobby.

The Celebration of Preservation takes place during National Historic Preservation Month, a time set aside to honor historic places, promote heritage tourism, and highlight the social and economic benefits of historic preservation.

The Cleveland Restoration Society is a member of the National Trust Partners Network. Founded in 1972, CRS uses historic preservation to revitalize communities, strengthen the regional economy, and enhance the quality of life in northeastern Ohio.
