Mercy Health opens third flu clinic at Wick Primary Care – Mercy Health Youngstown is announcing the opening of a third flu clinic for any patient experiencing flu-like symptoms. The flu clinic is located at Wick Primary Care at Youngstown State University, 330 Wick Ave., Youngstown. Mercy Health opened flu clinics in Boardman and Warren earlier this week.

The clinics are intended to evaluate and treat symptomatic patients and are not for people without any symptoms.

Mercy Health requires that you call 855-884-7150, where your situation will be evaluated over the phone. You do not have to be an existing Mercy Health patient. The phone number for Wick Primary Care is 330-941-3489.

Mercy Health’s flu clinics include:

Mercy Health – Eisenhower Primary Care, 7341 Eisenhower Drive, Boardman, Ohio 44512. 855-884-7150. 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week.

Mercy Health – Parkman Primary Care, 1455 Parkman Road N.W., Warren, Ohio 44485. 855-884-7150. 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week.

Mercy Health — Wick Primary Care at Youngstown State University, 330 Wick Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44503. 330-941-3489. 8 a.m.-4 p.m., seven days a week.

The clinics are open to patients experiencing flu-like symptoms (coughing, sneezing, body aches, headache, among others) who will be directed rather than being seen in a primary care office. Due to a limitation of testing availability at Mercy Health’s third-party lab, there will be no COVID-19 testing.

In a prepared statement, representatives from Mercy Health said: “Mercy Health Youngstown is committed to the safety and security of our associates, patients, residents and communities, all of which is why we continue to take COVID-19 seriously. The influx of new, daily developments and information regarding this virus continues to drive local leadership decisions to further prevent and align with federal, state and local health department protocols as well as those being implemented across the Bon Secours Mercy Health ministry.”

“We continue to monitor updates provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization and are working with local and state departments of health to ensure we are aligned on prevention, protocols and next steps. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has advised that community-based interventions, including social distancing, can help to slow the spread of COVID-19,” Mercy Health said.

In addition, the public is requested to practice everyday prevention measures like frequent hand washing and covering coughs and sneezes.
