Michael Barren’s recital is the first performance by award-winning students in the Student Honors Recital Competition. Date of premiere: Oct. 10, 2020.
Barren’s performance includes:
- Robert Muczynski (1929-2010): “Six Preludes, Op. 6, Nos. 1 & 2.”
- Michael A. Barren (born 1998): “Rondo in F-sharp Minor.”
- George Gershwin (1898-1937): “Novelette in Fourths,” “Rubato,” and “Melody No. 17.”
- Michael A. Barren (born 1998): “Coming of Age” and “The Tides of Life.”
The performance was jointly produced by the the Dana School of Music, the McDonough Museum of Art and the Cliffe College of Creative Arts and Communication.
