Mahoning Valley Historical Society is currently seeking nominees for its Historic Preservation Awards.
The annual program recognizes outstanding revitalization projects and people who have made an impact on preservation in the local community. The MVHS Historic Preservation Awards are sponsored by Schwebel Family Foundation.
Call-for-entry details are being sent to members and various businesses, organizations, government offices and individuals across the Valley. Eligible projects must have been completed by March 1, 2025.
Digital submissions must be received by Friday, April 25. Entries will be judged by a special panel of local experts in May during Historic Preservation Month.
Winning submissions can include property owners, project designers/managers or individuals who have made significant accomplishments in local preservation, along with their nominators.
Winners will be recognized during the MVHS 150th Annual Membership Meeting in June. MVHS has awarded over 70 projects and individuals since 2005.
