Next Penguin City Night Market set for June 20

Penguin City Night Market returns later this month with vendors, workshops, artist and nonprofit spotlights, food trucks and specialty drinks.

The market occurs 5-9 p.m., Thursday, June 20 at Penguin City, 460 E. Federal St., Youngstown 44503. The event is dog and family-friendly.

Coming in June:

  • The featured artist will be Michelle Hillier. The self-taught artist specializes in custom abstract art. Hillier is owner of Abstract by M2 and has been creating abstract art for over 25 years.
  • The featured workshop is Hat Embellisment by Lola Beans. Participants can choose a hat (or bring their own) to decorate. The workshop occurs in the main taproom. The process will take approximately 1 hour. 5:30-8 p.m. $35 per person.
  • June vendors include Alivia’s Accessories, All Things Auto, Amelia’s Crystal Place, Arts by Malorie, Ashen Relics, Baker Brads, Crafty Shop of Horrors, Dana’s Cookie Jar, Delirium Pickling, Doughlicious Kolachi, Dream St. Design, Ethereal Creations, Esse Custom Charcuterie Boards, Fattycakes Soap, Forestview Farms, Handmade by Elenie, Idora Threads, Infinite Links by B, JABBAG, Joany Bird, Krispies by Vel, Larry Elephante Hot Sauce & Art, Linda & Luisa Bauble, Maddy Bug Co., Mamalagel’s Bagels, Mingucio’s Italian Pretzels, Phil Makes Art, Red Metal Designs, Rustbelt Soapwerks, Second Chance Silver, Shea-Mergency, Sublime Rose Boutique, Sunny Scents, Tie Dye by Marlaina, Tongue Punch Flavor, Too Hot Mamas, True Hero 3D, Two Eleven Creative, Unabandoned Herbals and Wookee Cookies Dog Treats.
  • The featured nonprofit will be Rebel Rescue Ranch. This 501(c)3 nonprofit organization finds homes for unwanted/abandoned small domestic and exotic animals and provides sanctuary, funding and veterinarian care. Ame Riggs is owner and operator. Penguin City will donate $1 from every draft purchase to Rebel Rescue Ranch during the event.
  • Penguin City’s Community Spotlight focuses on the Youngstown Summer Movies Series.
  • Armida’s Cucina will be the featured food truck.
