Nov. 15: Lit Youngstown virtual reading features 3 area natives

Lit Youngstown will host a free reading and conversation with B. Elizabeth Beck, Dion O’Reilly and Nancy B. Richardson as part of a series celebrating the publication of new books. It occurs 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15 on Lit Youngstown’s YouTube channel.

B. Elizabeth Beck was born and raised in Canfield. Her novel “Summer Tour” was published by KDP. She is a writer, artist and teacher who lives in Lexington, Ky.

Dion O’Reilly’s work has appeared in Cincinnati Review, Poetry Daily, Narrative, New Letters, New Ohio Review, Rattle, and The Sun. In addition, O’Reilly facilitates Zoom workshops and is a member of the Hive Poetry Collective which produces podcasts, and events. Her poetry collection “Ghost Dogs” was published by Terrapin Books. She lives in Monterey Bay, Calif.

Nancy Blair Richardson was born in Youngstown. Her chapbooks, “Unwelcomed Guest” and “The Fire’s Edge,” focused on Ohio Rust Belt events from the late 1970s onward. She has a master’s in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, a master’s in public administration from Harvard University, and a doctorate in education from Kent State University. Her poetry collection “Going Home” was published by Kelsay Books. She lives and works in Vermont.
