Stambaugh Auditorium and Mahoning Matters will live stream “Election 2020 – The Valley Votes: What to Expect Next” from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
The live-stream event will feature a discussion with candidates and political experts on the key issues and races to be decided on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 3).
The event will be broadcast live from the Concert Hall via the Stambaugh Auditorium YouTube page, the Mahoning Matters Facebook page, and Stambaugh Auditorium’s Digital Concert Hall app “The Digital Concert Hall.”
The program includes:
- Segment one – Opening remarks and overview with moderator Mark Sweetwood, editor, of Mahoning Matters (live).
- Segment two – “Presidential Pitches.” Geno DiFabio (live) for President Donald Trump and Michael Morley (live) for Joe Biden.
- Segment three – “Where We Stand Less Than Two Weeks Out.” Panel discussion. Dr. Paul Sracic, YSU professor of political science professor (live via Zoom); Tom McCabe, deputy director, Mahoning County Board of Elections (live); and Ron Massullo, deputy director, Trumbull County Board of Elections (live).
- Segment four – “Race for Ohio’s 13 Congressional District.” U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan, incumbent (live), Christina Hagan, challenger (live via Zoom).
- Segment five – “A Nation Divided – Will This Election Solve Anything?” Panel discussion with Paul Sracic, Tom McCabe and Ron Massullo.
- Segment six – “Race for Mahoning County Prosecutor.” Atty. Paul Gains, incumbent (live); Atty. Martin Desmond, challenger (live).
