COLUMBUS, April 13 – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is issuing the following traffic advisories for Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana counties.

Columbiana County

U.S. 30 roadway safety improvement project delayed due to weather – The U.S. 30 roadway safety improvement project that was set to begin Monday, March 23 has been delayed due to weather. The future start date is to be determined and the information will be released as it becomes available. This project will close U.S. 30 for 75 days, 3 miles east of Hanoverton, and includes the realignment of U.S. 30, between Gavers Road and Richey School Road.

Mahoning County

State Route 45 in Green, Goshen, Ellsworth and Jackson townships (until further notice) – State Route 45, between the Mahoning County line and Mahoning Avenue, has various daily lane restrictions for bridge repairs. This $4.2-million project includes road resurfacing and bridge repairs on state Route 45. The work is scheduled to be completed by September 2020.

U.S. Route 62 and state Route 625 in the City of Youngstown and Boardman, Canfield and Austintown townships (until further notice) – Beginning Monday, April 13, the following routes will have lane restrictions for bridge repairs: U.S. 62, between the Canfield Corp. limit and to Tippecanoe Road; U.S. 62, from state Route 170/Midlothian Boulevard to Williamson Avenue; state Route 625, from Lockwood Boulevard to U.S. 62 and; state Route 170, from Midlothian Boulevard to U.S. 62. This $3.5 million resurfacing project is scheduled to be completed by late September 2020.

State Route 289 in the Village of Lowellville (Monday, April 20-Friday, May 1) – Beginning Monday, April 20, state Route 289, between state Route 616 and Washington Street, will be closed through Friday, May 1 for a culvert replacement. The detour will be state Route 616 to Lowellville Street to Washington Street.

State Route 711 and Interstate 680 in the City of Youngstown (until further notice) – The ramp from state Route 711, southbound to I-680, southbound, is closed through late October for bridge repairs. The detour is Gypsy Lane to U.S. 422 to state Route 193 to I-680. This $9.7-million project is scheduled to be completed by July 2021.

State Route 711 and Interstate 680 in the City (until further notice) – Motorists traveling on I-680, southbound, from state Route 711 to Bella Vista Avenue, should be aware of a bi-directional traffic pattern. Although two lanes of traffic are maintained in each direction on I-680, southbound traffic is split, with one lane of southbound traffic crossed over onto I-680 northbound, while the second lane remains on I-680 southbound. This $9.7-million bridge repair project is scheduled to be completed by July 2021.

Trumbull County

Bedford Road in Brookfield Township (until further notice) – Bedford Road, southbound, between U.S. 62 and Stewart Sharon Road, is closed through early October for roadway widening. The detour is Stewart Sharon Road to Thomas Hubbard Road to U.S. 62. This work is part of a $2.1-million project to widen and resurface Bedford Road. The entire project should be completed by late October 2020.

State Route 305 in the City of Cortland, and Southington, Champion, Bazetta, Fowler and Hartford townships (until further notice) – Beginning Monday, April 13, state Route 305, between state Route 534 and state Route 7, will have occasional daily lane restrictions for pavement repairs. This $5.1 million resurfacing project is scheduled to be completed by spring 2020.

State Route 11 in Vienna Township (until further notice) – state Route 11, northbound, just north of state Route 82, is reduced to one lane through late April for drainage repairs and replacement.
