Ohio stormwater conference set for May 6-8 in Sandusky

The 2020 Ohio Stormwater Conference will occur May 6-8 at the Kalahari Resort and Conference Center in Sandusky. The conference takes place 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

The annual conference will cover comprehensive stormwater management for those dealing in all aspects of planning, design, implementation and regulatory compliance. It covers updates on environmental issues, new technologies, regulatory information and pollution prevention in an intensive workshop setting. The event also includes vendors.

The conference is sponsored by Tinker’s Creek Watershed Partners and the Ohio Stormwater Association.

Admission is $195, if postmarked/paid before April 16. After April 16, the fee is $245. A limited number of scholarships are available through the Ohio Department of Natural Resource’s Ohio Coastal Training Program. Lake Erie Basin Watershed government employees are eligible to apply for the Ohio Coastal Training Program scholarship for $95. To apply, contact Harry Stark at

  • Unlimited admission to the sessions on both days;
  • Admission to morning breakfasts on both days and all breaks;
  • Admission to luncheons on Thursday, May 7 and Friday, May 8;
  • Admission to the reception on Thursday, May 7.

The Stormwater Conference Planning Committee is comprised of individuals and organizations with an interest in stormwater management. The conference was developed by a committee of professionals dealing with stormwater issues on a daily basis, including engineers, consultants, watershed organizations, governmental organizations and academia staff.

The conference is multi-disciplinary and is designed for those with a direct stake in stormwater management, non-point source pollution or the modeling of urban water systems. Attendees include civil and environmental engineers; landscape engineers and architects; aquatic biologists, ecologists, scientists; managers, urban geographers, and policy makers; professionals from municipal and government engineering; public works personnel; consultants; and instructors and researchers at universities and research institutes.
