Cockeye BBQ is coming to downtown Youngstown.
Penguin City Beer and Cockeye BBQ & Creamery are announcing the opening of Cockeye’s second location at 460 E. Federal St. Construction is underway with a targeted opening date in November.
The announcement is set to occur during a Tuesday media conference in downtown Youngstown.
“Cockeye BBQ & Creamery will be an amazing addition to the Penguin City family, the East End District and downtown Youngstown,” said Aspasia Lyras-Bernacki, co-owner, Penguin City Beer.
Penguin City is currently renovating a 32,000 square-foot warehouse into a brewery, taproom and event center. The taproom are brewery are expected to open later this spring.
“We are super excited to choose Youngstown as our next location. Beer and BBQ go together like peas and carrots. The Mahoning Valley is our home and we believe in downtown Youngstown,” said Erik Hoover, Cockeye BBQ co-owner.
Cockeye BBQ is located at 1805 Parkman Road, N.W. in Warren. The restaurants is owned by Erik and Stacey Hoover. Erik Hoover is Cockeye’s award-winning chef and pitmaster.
Penguin City Beer is owned by Richard and Aspasia Lyras-Bernacki. Penguin City is available in over 450 locations across the Valley and is also distributed in West Virginia and Western Pa.
