Penn State Extension will offer “Living on a Few Acres: Tree and Small Fruit Production” for the beginning producers, homesteaders or those looking to become more self-sufficient in producing tree fruit or small fruit. The webinar occurs 6-8 p.m, Thursday, Feb. 13.
Participants will learn about tree-fruit production, selecting tree-fruit varieties, planting trees and cultural needs and production methods of small-fruit crops.
Participants must register by 6 p.m. Thursday to receive a link to access the live webinar. The event requires a $5 registration fee. Registrants also will receive access to the webinar recording.
The “Living on a Few Acres” webinar series covers basic information on how to get started and provides resources with more advanced information for participants to continue pursuing goals or hobbies.
Topics have included beekeeping, syrup making, vegetable gardening, mushroom production, home-food preservation, backyard greenhouses and other homesteading topics.
