The webinar occurs noon-1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27. The program is designed for the public and anyone with a connection to someone living with an addiction or in recovery, and anyone interested in reducing the impacts of substance use disorder on individuals and communities.
This session is intended to increase participants’ knowledge of addiction while also reducing the stigma toward people with substance-use disorder.
Presenters will discuss current research on addiction as a disease, the impacts of drug use on the brain and physical health, treatment options for people with substance use disorder, and the science behind the recovery process.
