Pineapple Squares (Une Torte De Chabecan)
By Marjorie Mariner (1963). Submitted by Louise Vett and Joan Yanchick.
Louise Vett shares Marjorie Mariner’s recipe for Pineapple Squares, which dates from 1963. Mariner was host of “Kitchen Corner,” which aired on WFMJ. Mariner’s recipes were also published in The Youngstown Vindicator. The synergy of local television and the daily newspaper made Mariner a very popular local figure in the 1960s.
