The Youngstown Playhouse has received a $10,000 grant from the Walter E. & Caroline H. Watson Foundation. The grant will be used to support its Youth Theatre and educational programming, including the current production of “Alice in Wonderland.”
“The Youngstown Playhouse extends our deep gratitude to the Walter E. & Caroline H. Watson Foundation for its support of our Youth Theatre, which engages hundreds of young people each year through fully staged productions and classes,” said Dr. John Cox, board president.
“As we prepare to celebrate our 100th Anniversary in 2024, support from funders such as the Walter E. & Caroline H. Watson Foundation and PNC Charitable Trusts is crucial to deepening the impact of the performing arts in the Mahoning Valley.”
