The Jewish Community Relations Council of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation is announcing a special online program recognizing Congregation Beth Israel, law enforcement and the first responders who thwarted Saturday’s attack on the Texas-based synagogue.

Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker, Congregation Beth Israel and clergy of other faiths will host a virtual community gathering to honor Congregation Beth Israel and thank law enforcement and first responders.
Speakers include Cytron-Walker; Livia Link-Raviv, Consul General of Israel to the Southwest; Bishop Edward Burns, Catholic Diocese of Dallas; Rev. Michael Higgins, Good Shepherd Catholic Community; Associate Pastor Ashley Wood, First Presbyterian Church Grapevine; and Brother Safi Khan.
“The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas’ Jewish Community Relations Council and the Jewish Federation of Fort Worth & Tarrant County invite you to come together to honor Congregation Beth Israel, thank law enforcement and the first responders, and recognize all who stand against antisemitism and hate,” said organizers in a prepared release. “Please join us to express gratitude and heal together.”
