Stambaugh Auditorium is announcing the release of The Digital Concert Hall, an app that allows virtual access to its performances.

The app is free to download on a smart device. Some premium content can be unlocked through in-app purchases.

Users can download the app from Apple’s App Store, The Google Play Store, Amazon’s App Store, AppleTV and Roku TV enabled devices. Download instructions and links are available here.

“Over the last several months we have had to work on adjusting our business model to offer virtual and hybrid events. Now we are able to take that one step further by making that content easily accessible to the community, and worldwide,” said Matt Pagac, CEO/COO Stambaugh Auditorium.

Many recently recorded performances are available to download or stream, and new content will be added throughout the year. Future content will include performances by organists on the E.M. Skinner Pipe Organ, Opera Western Reserve, Stambaugh Youth Concert Band, as well as documentaries and interviews with artists.

Opera Western Reserve’s fall production, “OWR Presents: A Taste of Traviata,” will premiere digitally at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13. In place of the annual live production, the program will feature highlights from “La Traviata.” The production will be recorded and produced at Stambaugh Auditorium. The public can reserve access via The Digital Concert Hall app.
