State seeks information on Newton Falls fire, offers $5,000 reward.
The Division of State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau is seeking tips from the public regarding an intentionally set fire at a vacant structure in Newton Falls. The fire was reported at 10:52 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9 at 4309 Woodland St.

COLUMBUS – The Division of State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau is seeking tips from the public regarding an intentionally set fire at a vacant structure in Newton Falls.

The fire was reported at 10:52 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9 at 4309 Woodland St.

Upon their arrival, firefighters with the Newton Falls Fire District discovered the building, which was being used for storage, was fully engulfed in flames.

The investigation is being conducted jointly by the State Fire Marshal’s office and the Newton Falls Fire District. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for these fires.
