Stino Foods has issued a voluntary recall of products that were produced without inspection and the declaration of known allergens.
Stino Foods (aka Stino da Napoli) of Rocky River today issued a voluntary recall of the products listed below.
The frozen Eggplant Parmesan was distributed from Sherwood Foods, 16625 Granite Road, Maple Heights, Ohio. The pasta sauces and dressings were distributed directly from Stino Foods.
The recall is prompted due to potential adulteration, as the product was manufactured without inspection. Additionally, the Eggplant Parmesan failed to declare “milk,” and the Lemon and Raspberry Dressings failed to declare “soy,” both known allergens, on the labels.
The pasta sauces and dressings were produced from mid-2015 through Jan. 16, 2019 and the Eggplant Parmesan was produced from September 2018 through Jan. 16, 2019.
The recalls include the following products:
• Stino Foods Frozen Eggplant Parmesan (failure to declare “milk” on the product label), 16 oz. frozen meal with UPC 181284000174;
• Stino Foods Filetto Di Pomodoro pasta sauce, 24 oz. glass jar with UPC 181284000020;
• Stino Foods Carrettiera pasta sauce, 24 oz. glass jar with UPC 181284000051;
• Stino Foods Arrabbiata pasta sauce, 24 oz. glass jar with UPC 181284000037;
• Stino Foods Lemon Dressing (failure to declare “soy” on the product label), 12 oz. glass bottle with UPC 181284000068;
• Stino Foods Raspberry Dressing (failure to declare “soy” on the product label), 12 oz. glass bottle with UPC 181284000075,
According to the company, no reports of illness involving these products have been reported. Individuals exhibiting signs or symptoms of food-borne illness should contact a physician immediately.
