Modern Methods Brewing Company, in collaboration with the Trumbull County Historical Society, is announcing the “Tips for a Cause” fundraiser and membership campaign kickoff. The event will occur 5-8 p.m. today at The Darlene Lounge, 145 W. Market St., Warren.
Guest bartenders include Meghan Reed, director of the Trumbull County Historical Society, and Ryan MacLennan, director of operations and outreach, who will serve Modern Methods beer and craft cocktails.
All tips received during the event, as well as a portion of all sales for the evening, will be donated to the Trumbull County Historical Society. TCHS will use the event to launch its 2024 membership campaign.
“After winding down a successful and busy 2023, we wanted to get everyone together for a night to kick off the new year and give a jolt to our 2024 membership campaign,” said Reed.
Keck, founder/brewer at Modern Methods, shared his excitement about providing space for such events. The Darlene Lounge, a new addition to the brewery located on Market Street, offers event space for private parties and serves as spillover space for the brewery taproom on David Grohl Alley.
“We’’ve wanted to do events like this since we opened our doors in 2018. Now that we have the Lounge space, we’re able to be open throughout the week and have multiple events going on in the two spaces,” said Keck.
“We promoted our bartender Emily Cheeseman as our ‘Special Agent,’’ handling the additional responsibilities with events and promotion, and she’s been doing an amazing job!”
