Town & Country Motel in Warren – vintage roadside art | This undated postcard depicts the Town & Country Motel on U.S. Route 422 in Warren. The mid-century motel was located near Ohio Turnpike Interchanges 14 and 15, one mile east of the city.
Motel amenities included important selling points of the day: air-conditioned rooms with telephone, TV, tub and shower. Other offerings included “24-hour telephone service, conference room, restaurant, cocktail lounge” and a heated swimming pool.
For those trying to place the motel’s location, you can see Cafe 422’s metal awnings on the left side of the postcard.
