Trumbull Art Gallery will host its fourth annual “Trees at the Gallery” Holiday Marketplace from Nov. 18 through Jan. 6 in downtown Warren. A special opening reception will occur from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25 (Small Business Saturday).
The seven-week event features a walk-through marketplace with over 20 displays showcasing gift items handcrafted by local artists and includes art, jewelry, and seasonal/holiday decor. Additional items will be available in the TAG Gift Shop.
Trumbull Art Gallery is located at 158 N. Park Ave. on Courthouse Square. Regular holiday hours are noon-6 p.m., Thursday; noon-4 p.m., Friday; and 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday. Admission is free.
For the event, local artists were asked to design holiday tree displays made from artificial greenery, wood, metal, wire, and ceramic or provide table-top displays – all used to showcase their handcrafted items. In addition, participating artists will showcase their work during live demonstrations on select days.
The marketplace also includes a holiday tree raffle (Thursday, Dec. 21) featuring a fully-decorated tree filled with handcrafted items donated by participating artists. And again this year, TAG will continue its “Angels for Art Education” fundraising campaign.
