The Warren Civic Music Association will open its 83rd season Tuesday, Sept. 19 with Rhinestone Cowgirls, a flashy, down-home homage to country music’s legendary female singers and songwriters.
Warren Civic’s 2023-24 season includes six concerts from September through next May. Shows begin at 7 p.m. and doors open at 6 p.m. Performances occur at W.D. Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren.

2023-24 season
Rhinestone Cowgirls – Legendary Ladies of Country Music. Tuesday, Sept. 19. Rhinestone Cowgirls celebrates the female legends of country music – from early, groundbreaking artists to contemporary performers. The group includes Kirbi Long, Gianna Van Pelt, and Donna Louden. The shows spans eight decades of hits and artist-penned material. The show includes works by artists like Tammy Wynette (“Stand By Your Man”), Patsy Cline (“Crazy”), Loretta Lynn (“Coal Miner’s Daughter”), Dolly Parton (“Jolene”), Reba McIntire (“Fancy”), and Shania Twain (“Man, I Feel Like a Woman”). Other artists showcased include Lynn Anderson, Martina McBride, and Carrie Underwood. Rhinestone Cowgirls has been described as “a tribute to country music’s leading ladies” that ranges from “down-home country to sequins.”
RocOpraNatra. Tuesday, Oct. 17. This Canadian trio fuses rock, opera, and the stylings of classic crooners like Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. The repertoire mixes pop, music from the American songbook, and dramatic readings of classically influenced material. The group features Brian Roman, Danny Scott, and Christopher Dallo. As RocOpraNatra notes in a promotional video, “When worlds collide, the musical universe expands.” The group will be backed by a live band.
Splish Splash! The Music of Bobby Darin. Wednesday, Nov. 8. Las Vegas entertainer Ron Gartner honors the legacy of Bobby Darin with a multi-media show featuring Darin’s most familiar material, including the million-selling pop smash “Splish Splash.” Gartner’s show will include stories, remembrances and signature material like “Beyond the Sea” and “Mack the Knife.”
The New York Tenors – Thursday Dec. 14. This New York-based trio will perform a special Christmas show. The multi-talented group features Andy Cooney, Daniel Rodriguez, and Christopher Macchio. Cooney has performed across the globe, including Carnegie Hall and National Concert Hall in Dublin. Rodriguez, a one-time New York City police officer, lifted the nation’s spirits with song after the tragedy of September 11. Rodriguez made his worldwide debut during the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Macchio is a classically trained tenor known for his commanding, powerful voice.
The Greatest Piano Men: Billy, Elton, Stevie, Liberace, Ray & More. Tuesday, April 16. This group harnesses the power and showmanship of pop music’s most-memorable pianists. The program combines storytelling with the music of Elton John, Liberace, Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Stevie Wonder and Billy Joel. Songs include “Rocket Man,” ”Good Golly Miss Molly,” “Piano Man,” “I’ll Be Seeing You,” “Superstition,” “I Can’t Stop Loving You,” and others.
“Benise – Fiesta!” Thursday, May 2. Benise brings his Emmy-award stage production to Warren for one show. Billed as “The Prince of Spanish Guitar,” “Benise – Fiesta!” will feature a courtyard filled with flamenco dancers, costumes, and fiery Spanish guitars. Warren Civic Music calls the program “a world music and dance spectacular that appeals to people of all ages and cultures.”
