
The Warren Philharmonic Orchestra will conclude its 59th season with a program featuring works by Beethoven, Rossini, Frank Tichel and John Williams.
“Spring 2025 Concert” occurs 7 p.m., Saturday at Lakeview High School, 300 Hillman Drive, Cortland. The Youngstown State University Youth Orchestra will open.

Warren Philharmonic will perform Rossini’s “Overture to William Tell,” Frank Ticheli’s ”An American Elegy” and “Escapades for Alto Saxophone, Vibraphone, Bass and Orchestra” by John Williams. The concert will conclude with Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 5, in C Minor.”
The performance will be under the direction of Warren Philharmonic Conductor and Music Director Dr. Christopher M. Cicconi. The concert features soloists Maximilian Dimoff, Dr. Matthew Holm and Dr. James Umble.
Dimoff is the principal bassist of The Cleveland Orchestra and a faculty member at The Cleveland Institute of Music. He performs on a double bass dating from 1651.
Holm is director of percussion studies at Kent State University where he has revitalized the percussion program. Holm is in demand as a chamber player and orchestral musician.
Dr. James Umble is professor of saxophone at Youngstown State University. He is an internationally recognized teacher, soloist, clinician, chamber musician and author.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for students and can be purchased at the door. Children under 13 are admitted free with a parent or guardian.
