Shelley Murray has been announced as Interim CEO for Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, Inc., for 2024.

“I’m looking forward to working with the team here at Goodwill in 2024,” Murray said. “I’ve already visited all 10 of our store locations. I’m genuinely excited to work with the entire Goodwill community, as they share enthusiasm for our common mission and purpose.”

Murray joins Goodwill following more than 20 years in education, most recently with Valley Christian Schools. She served as principal and vice principal during her tenure.

“Shelley brings nonprofit experience and valuable skills to the interim position. I look forward to watching her and the team achieve the goals that have been set for the 2024 year and to facilitate delivery of our mission to the community,” Phillips said.

Murray resides in Canfield with her husband, Shawn. Together, they have five children and two grandchildren.

Youngstown Area Goodwill has been serving Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania for more than 125 years.
