YOUNGSTOWN, March 27 – The City of Youngstown and the United Way of Youngstown & Mahoning Valley will help distribute meals for students in the Youngstown City School District from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Monday, March 30.
Youngstown City Schools will provide students with five breakfasts and five lunches for the week. All lunches were packed at the Youngstown City School Central Kitchen and will be delivered to the school sites via District delivery trucks.
School locations include:
- McGuffey Elementary School, 310 S. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44509
- Kirkmere Elementary School, 2851 Kirk Road, Youngstown, Ohio 44511
- Harding Elementary School, 1903 Cordova Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44504
- East High School, 474 Bennington Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44505
- Taft Elementary School, 730 E. Avondale Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44502
- Williamson Elementary School, 58 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44507
Parents and caregivers should pull their vehicles in front of the building where tables and tents will be set up. Staff from the City of Youngstown, United Way and Youngstown City Schools will assist in loading food into cars.
Participating city departments include the Mayor’s Office, Health Department, Code Enforcement, Community Planning & Economic Development, Public Works, Parks & Recreation, the Youngstown Police Department, and the Youngstown Fire Department.
All volunteers will practice physical/social distancing and wearing proper PPE (personal protective equipment).
