Youngstown firefighters, EMS workers to receive COVID-19 vaccinations

Three Youngstown City Council members will host the first in a series of listening sessions for residents and neighborhood groups to discuss priorities for the city’s $82.7 million allocation in the American Rescue Plan.

Youngstown firefighters and emergency medical service workers will receive the COVID-19 vaccine from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Youngstown Fire Station No. 1.

The Youngstown City Health District will administer the vaccines.

Residents and caregivers of congregate living homes in the city of Youngstown will receive COVID-19 vaccines from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31 at the Eugenia Atkins Recreation Center on Youngstown’s North Side. The Youngstown City Health District, in collaboration with the Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities, will administer the vaccinations.

Next week, the Youngstown City Health District will travel to other group homes in the city to administer COVID-19 vaccinations.
