Youngstown Parks & Recreation is announcing the return of its annual Kids Summer Camp, a free program designed to offer local children an enriching and fun-filled summer experience.
The camp will run 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday from June 9 to Aug. 8 at Wick Park, 260 Park Ave., Youngstown 44504.
The camp is open to children ages 5-13 and will feature a variety of activities, including swimming, sports and arts and crafts. The camp provides a safe and active environment where kids can learn new skills, make friends and enjoy the outdoors.
Pre-registration is now open. Applications can be picked up at the following locations:
- Youngstown Parks & Recreation Office, City Hall, 26 S. Phelps St., Youngstown 44503.
8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday.
- Richard W. and Eugenia C. Atkinson Recreational Center, 903 Otis St., Youngstown 44503. 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., Monday-Friday.
The Youngstown Parks & Recreation Department is hiring camp staff for the summer. Individuals ages 16 and up who are interested in employment are encouraged to inquire.
