The Youngstown Press Club is seeking applications for $4,000 scholarships it will award this year.
The application deadline is April 1.
The awards will go to college juniors or seniors residing in the Mahoning or Shenango valleys, who are majoring in journalism or a related field.
Related fields include communication, broadcasting, marketing, advertising and public relations.
Applicants must:
- Submit proof of a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
- Be entering their junior or senior year in the 2025-26 academic year.
- Submit at least two writing or broadcast samples.
- They must reside in Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana, Mercer or Lawrence counties, but they may be attending college elsewhere.
Applicants should commit to attend the Youngstown Press Club’s Sept. 24 Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet at Stambaugh Auditorium.
